Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady

August 15, 2019 all-day

Low Mass, 7:00am, Missa Cantata 7:00pm

In 1838, Bishop Pompallier, celebrated the first Mass on New Zealand soil. He dedicated the mission of spreading the Gospel to the Assumption of Our Lady.
Each year on the 15th August, the faithful throughout New Zealand spiritually unite with the rest of the world, through the Eucharistic Feast in honour of Our Lady’s Assumption.

As our Blessed Mother watches over us in the heavenly realm, may we, who are still in this world, have the hope to join with her, to receive eternal joy and gladness.
